Once I have received my NPI number and am licensed in the state of Idaho as an APRN, I will submit application for DEA in order to prescribe controlled substances. 

In accordance with the state of Idaho's continuing education and recertification requirements, I plan to take 30 CEUs with half targeted at my current practice setting and half on vital health topics. Additionally, I will seek opportunities through membership in professional organizations: NPI, AANP, ACOG, AWHONN.

Pursuing additional graduate education as a certified nurse-midwife through the University of Cincinnati (anticipated graduation Dec. 2023). 

May 7th - Graduation as DNP-FNP.

May 30th - Apply for testing through AANP.

Mid June - AANP certification exam.

End of June - Submit application for NPI#​

Will accept employer malpractice insurance with additional private claims-made malpractice insurance coverage.

Margaret Fitzgerald Nurse Practitioner Certification Exam Review system. Review of clinical pearls book made throughout clinical experiences. Will be dedicating 2-3hrs/daily to review and practice test questions prior to testing with a goal of 400 practice questions.
